The Guangdong Museum
Now this is what we thought the future(today) would look like! At first glance this building didn’t look as big as it tuned out to be but after you hit the jump you will see for yourselves. Designed by Hong Kong based firm Rocco Design Architects.

FlyNano
As much fun as the people seem to be having on this image, the FlyNano has to be one of the scariest flying “jetski” around. It comes in three models — one electric, one gas, and one racing — and able to go up to 76 mph, up to 1.8 miles high, up to 43 miles away, all while weighing roughly 150 lbs. $36,000-$39,000.
Unsolicited Architecture
Here’s a video about Unsolicited Architecture, a collaborative workshop initiated by Studio-X Rio + NAI in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. In a 24 hour time period four teams were formed, four neighborhoods were explored (they each explored the neighborhood where the local architect’s office is located), held a brainstorming session, and then presented their ideas – zero clients, zero budget.

SKYSCRAPER FARMING
By the year 2050, nearly 80% of the earth’s population will reside in urban centers. An estimated 109 hectares of new and (about 20% more land than is represented by the country of Brazil) will be needed to grow enough food to feed them, if traditional farming practices continue as they are practiced today. (and thats not even talking about global warming…) What to do about this impending food crisis? Many think the solution might lie in urban “skyscraper farms”.

7 Billion People...
Watch this for a stunning and informative video about Earth’s population from National Geographic! This is something we should probably keep in mind when designing The Heart of the City for El Paso.
